Mr. Şinasi CANDAN, DMO Director General, Mr. İsmet KESKİN, DMO Deputy Director General and a team from the institution visited the technology campus of Türkiye’s Automobile Initiative Group Industry and Trade Inc. (Togg) in Bursa.

DMO Directorate General officials were welcomed there by Mr. Mehmet Gürcan KARAKAŞ, the CEO of Togg, and Togg executives.

After the presentation covering Togg’s story, which began with a white paper and evolved into becoming a valuable symbol of domestic and national production for our country, the production facility and experience center, which have reached a level of excellence in digital technologies, were examined on-site together with DMO and Togg representatives.

Under the Protocol signed between DMO and Togg within the scope of Presidential Decree No. 1945 dated 26/12/2019, the parties discussed existing processes and future steps to further strengthen their cooperation, which supports the investment in an electric vehicle production facility through a vehicle purchase guarantee provided by DMO Directorate General, with the aim of meeting the needs of Türkiye’s automotive sector, ensuring supply security, reducing foreign dependency, and achieving technological transformation.

In addition, the procurement process of Togg, which has reached 1,750 units so far within the scope of the Protocol, has been completed by DMO Directorate General and made available for use by public institutions and organizations.

As DMO, we will continue to create more value and contribute to supporting domestic production in public procurement.
