A “Cooperation Protocol” has been signed between DMO Directorate General and the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) in order to evaluate and inspect the products involved in the procurement processes of DMO in an independent, impartial, effective and reliable manner in line with the determined standards and technical specifications.
The signing ceremony, hosted by DMO Directorate General, was attended by Mr. Şinasi CANDAN, DMO Director General, Mr. Mahmut Sami ŞAHİN, the President of the Turkish Standards Institute and the senior representatives from both institutions.
With the protocol, it is aimed to strengthen the inspections and examinations conducted by DMO for the products needed by public institutions and organizations with the support of competent expert personnel in the field, and to carry out them in accordance with national and international standards with advanced technology, accredited methods and quality control infrastructure. Thus, increasing quality assurance in public procurement and contributing to the continuity of public services is intended.
In this period when DMO has adopted a shift in public procurement from a price-oriented approach to a value-oriented perspective, we hope that the cooperation with TSE will further enhance this approach with a focus on quality and trust, and we believe that it will strengthen the public procurement ecosystem
