Digital Transformation Era at DMO

  • Updated date : 07.24.2024

Our Directorate General plays a crucial role as the Central Purchasing Body to efficiently and effectively procure the products needed to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of public services. As part of this role, during the periods when our country requires, DMO is actively involved in the related fields with all its departments.

Providing services for a significant portion of public needs, from vehicles to office supplies, from office equipments to IT products, our Directorate General, especially through such business models as health purchases and fuel supply, which have been designed in relation to its central procurement role, has seen a notable increase in sales and transaction volumes in recent years. Consequently, the transformation of the current processes into modern, innovative, digitally supported, stakeholder-focused, and user-friendly systems has become inevitable.

In this context, for the catalogue system (e-sales platform), which has been preferred by public institutions and organizations and where speed, focus on savings and appropriateness in public procurement come to the fore, to operate more effectively and efficiently, significant changes have been made in the application processes, announcement texts, and contracts for companies wishing to join the platform and also in the implementation process after being involved in the platform.

The changes, accepted by the Board of Directors decision dated 27.06.2024, will be implemented starting from 02.09.2024, for the companies to revise their processes. From this date onwards, the catalogue application processes of the companies and the existing catalogue contract processes will be conducted through the online platform (https://www.dmo.gov.tr).

Additionally, together with the activation of the Online Catalogue System designed for companies’ application processes, the integrated Company Portal, which also includes this system, will be fully implemented.

In this context, companies requesting to take part in the catalogue will be able to submit the required information and documents electronically. They will be able to view their orders, invoices, payments, existing contracts, and ongoing applications. And within the context of contract management, they will also be able to submit requests for adding and removing products, price increases and decreases, stopping and resuming sales, changing minimum order amounts, and changing product specifications and images through this platform.

The new digital and user-friendly era of DMO is announced to all our stakeholders.
