Organized by RX Tüyap, Expomed Eurasia was held at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul between 25-27 April as one of the most important meeting points of the medical world. The fair, which was held for the 31st time this year, brought together the latest innovations in the field of medical devices, medical supplies and health with industry professionals.

Expomed Eurasia, which featured our Director General Mr. Şinasi CANDAN and Deputy Director General Dr. Mehmet KOCA at the opening ceremony, hosted over 26,000 visitors in total, including 6,000 international visitors from 122 countries, with more than 700 participants in an area of 80,000 square meters.

Our Directorate General attended the fair with a large team, including staff from departments such as purchasing, e-sales platform, price research and invoicing, along with our promotional team. Expomed Eurasia 2024 provided an opportunity to explore a broad range of products, from medical equipment and technologies to orthopedic, physical therapy, and rehabilitation products, consumables and disposable items, hospital and medical facility management solutions, and over-the-counter products. Additionally, B2B meetings were held with over 200 companies, including current and potential suppliers, to discuss Healthcare Products Market and catalogue processes. More than 100 company stands were visited, which enabled the creation of strong networks that drive the sector and the observation of innovative and cutting-edge technology products that shed light on the future of the health sector.

In addition to the main stand located in Hall 7, the Innovation Area, which took place in the fair in cooperation with the Istanbul Health Industry Cluster Association (ISEK), featured the Techno Catalogue stand. This special area, showcasing innovative products and services developed in the medical field, especially by startups, provided an opportunity to reach young entrepreneurs and share information about DMO processes. Seminars and panels on current topics in the health industry were also attended.

During the fair:

Our Director General Mr. Şinasi CANDAN participated in the Value-Based Health Services Session organized by SADER and DETESADER, emphasizing the importance of maintaining stakeholder relations at the highest level and achieving mutual benefits by considering the factors such as quality, efficiency, sustainability, and optimal price as the central procurement organization.

In the first part of the presentation aimed at introducing our Directorate General, Head of Strategy Development Department Mr. Yücel EFE provided information on DMO’s processes, current status, and new term projects. In the second part, Head of 4th Purchasing Department Mrs. Gökçe KAPTAN discussed Healthcare Products Market Applications, and in the third part, Director of Stakeholder Relations and Advertising Division Mrs. Sümeyye FETTAHOĞLU gave information on the supplier pre-registration and application processes. Following these sessions, an interactive Q&A session was held with the participants.

At the event organized by ISEK, Director of Techno Catalogue Division Mr. Suat YAMAÇ gave a comprehensive presentation on the Techno Catalogue and its application process.

Thus, the State Supply Office successfully completed a productive and efficient fair.
